Mermaid's Fan Macro Algae is a green calcareous macro algae.

We originally acquired our seed stock in south Florida water.

Now our Mermaids Fan Macro Algae has been cultured in our aquaculture farm for the past 5 years.

Mermaids Fan saltwater plants have short stems that grow out of the substrate or live rock.

You can glue them on your live rock with your corals or bury them in your substrate live sand or gravel.

Easy to grow and keep Macro Algae requires good lighting and moderate water flow.

Mermaids Fan will grow new shoots from it’s base if conditions are favorable in the aquarium tank.

Most fish will not bother this calcareous macro algae, so it makes a great display plant adding the color green to your saltwater aquarium.

Mermaid Fan form a fan like leaf that is oval to round in shape. They are calcareous algae that uses limestone (calcium carbonate) to construct their tissues.

The Mermaid's Fan is generally hardy in the right conditions, and few fish will feed on them.
