Mini Turbo snails for sale for saltwater aquariums offered only by Rusalty.

New saltwater snail type for sale by Rusalty never before made available in the aquarium hobby.

If you like to grow macro algae in your display tank these Turbo snails are one of the best snails that specialize in cleaning the leaves of the macro to allow it to grow to it's full potential.

These little Turbo snails are fast hair algae eaters and eat it to the root leaving the live rock healthy and clean.

Mini Turbo snails also will eat and remove bryopsis algae which is very hard to remove from reef tank aquariums once you have an infestation.

Mini turbo snails eat faster than astrea snails or turban snails.

Mini turbo snails will spend their day on your macro algae constantly cleaning the coating algae from the leaves of the saltwater plant.

Mini Turbo Snail genius Collonista sp from the family Turbinidae. Super grazing snail also known as turban snail that eats large amounts of filamentous algae and coating or slime algae.

The mini turbo snail is a very hardy type of snail which has a flat trap door or operculum it readily consumes film algae or coating algae from glass and rocks in the home saltwater aquarium and reef tanks.

Small in size they run about 1/4 - 1/2"  but they make up for it by being super algae eaters and they can fit in small places and crevices in live rock that larger snails can’t get into.

Collonista snails can consume as much algae as a large Astrea snail per day or a large Trochus snail.

Added benefit that you don’t have to worry about constantly turning it over or it falling down and landing upside down and dying before you notice it.

Mini turbo snails are totally reef safe and being strictly vegetarian they do not bother other invertebrates or corals.

No need to worry about the mini Turbo bulldozing or knocking down structure or corals in the saltwater reef tank aquarium.

Will my mini Turbo snails bother or eat macro algae like caulerpa.

We know that they eat hair algae. Not sure on all the types of Caulerpa algae and all the other macro algae yet.

The Mini turbo snail is a new snail. It's small so it most likely wont eat a macro algae if it is a tuff variety or firm leafed type that you have.

Most likely it will clean the coating algae off of the leave of the macro and not bother the leaf itself. But we don't know for sure. We've just discovered this snail and have been studying it for just 12 months so far.

Mini Turbo Review
Written by E LESTER on 1st Feb 2024

These mini-turbos are far from having a mini appetite or mini activity; I've found them to be the most ravenous algae eaters I have ever owned. Many of the initial 50 purchased fell to the aquarium bottom and then righted themselves and got to work. Highly recommended for algae and detritus removal.
