Reasons to buy saltwater snails Astrea turbo snails.

Astrea snails are one of the best additions to the clean up crew for your coral reef aquarium.

Aestrea are one of the best algae eating snails. Essential for keeping live coral reef tanks flourishing. If you are dedicated to keeping and growing captive corals in your aquarium, this is one of the essential animals to have living in the tank.

Astrea snails eat nuisance algae on rock, aquarium glass, and around your coral by the ton.

The Astrea Turbo Snail has a unique shell and a ravenous appetite for algae. Unlike many bottom dwellers that are dressed in drab colors to better camouflage themselves against the sand bottoms, Astrea tecta boasts a pyramid-shape shell with beautiful, olive green coloration.

It is very adept at keeping your aquarium clean. In fact, this small herbivore prefers to feed on nuisance hair algae, as well as cyano bacteria and diatoms. Some aquarists also report that the Astrea Turbo Snail actually consumes the entire hair algae structure, which helps prevent immediate further algae growth.

If left unchecked, nuisance algae species can over grow the corals in our tanks and cause delays in growth and possible deaths. When algae coats a live rock it is taking up valuable real estate and will prevent the more desirable organisms and coralline  algae from growing on the rocks in our aquariums.

Astrea snails keep the coral reefs clean and healthy out in the worlds oceans. Occupying a crucial role in the healthy growth of our reefs in the wild.

Very good CUC addition that arrived healthy, acclimated well, and are a very good size to get about the rock work and corals without moving things around.
